The American Bully breed was created in the United States in the 90s of the last century on the basis of American Pit Bull Terriers and Staffordshire Terriers with a slight infusion of the blood of English, American and French Bulldogs.
The main goal in breeding was to obtain a medium-sized dog with a soft character while maintaining a rather brutal appearance characteristic of the breeds used in breeding.
The priority was a massive body, an athletic physique and a pronounced, sometimes slightly hypertrophied muscle mass.
Bitches are much lighter than males.
There are 4 types of breed:
1. Standard, when the height at the withers is 43-51 cm
2. Pocket - less than 43 cm
3. XL - 51-57 cm at the withers
4. Classic - 43 -51 with a lightweight skeleton, approaching the type of Staffordshire Terriers.
We fell in love with this breed primarily because of its character - it is a complete human orientation and contact with such a contrasting appearance. The dog is completely controllable, does not require special attention when growing, very lively and active.
